Notes of interview with Mr. Denison on the 27th August, 1909.

122

Mr. Denison called at 12.45 p.m. and during the interview stated that he had not anyone to prepare the details and that he found it impossible to work them out owing to being interrupted by various contractors

He also said that it was Mr. Ram's work and had he known that these details had not been pre- pared he would not have allowed Mr. Ram to go away.

He also asked about sending details of timber framing down to me one by one. I told him to do so to assist the work, only if he made alterations at a later date it would possibly cause delay and additional expense.

He made an appointment for 2.30 p.m. and at this interview I explained fully to him the matters requiring amendment and the items that could not be constructed according to details.

Mr. Denison stated during the interview that Mr. Chatham instructed him to lower ridges of gables after the plan of the 12th November, 1908 had been

approved. I asked Mr. Denison to confirm this in writing, as I had not heard anything up to date with regard to this from Mr. Chatham.

(Signed) H. G.
